Currently using JetBrains' CLion, and to my understanding they are working on bringing it to the M1. Object-oriented programming in C++ is something I do often as well. That means I often use Arduino IDE or some other IDE, mentioned next. Most of my time is being spent developing for Linux-based systems (think of robots driven by Arduinos or Raspberry Pi, ones based on Robot OS etc.) which I can develop on probably any machine (ARM could be a plus, do some testing on the Mac itself). I do own and use Apple products regulary (currently iPhone XS, owned iPhone 7 and 5s before, and an iPad 7), and use Apple Music as my music streaming service of choice. Now, since Apple has introduced a very interesting new chip, I was thinking about migrating to some of M1 powered Macs. So, for some not reading whole bullet point:

Some introductory facts (may be skipped if in hurry?) This post will be a bit longer, I would appreciate if you have time to read it and give your opinion. Hello everyone, I am new to the sub and I would like to ask you (kind of a long) question(s) after a lot of a research on M1.
